I am always on the lookout for a good sour cream based cake and this one did not disappoint. This recipe was for a spiced cake but, Dorie included a “playing around” version that was her classic sour cream bundt cake. Since, I am a sucker for a sour cream cake, I went the classic route.
I did not add spices to the cake, but did add the cinnamon to the streusel. Because, who doesn’t love cinnamon in a streusel?
This cake was a hit. We all loved it. You can tell how much I enjoyed this cake by the volume of photos I took. This makes a great dessert or breakfast treat. It stayed fresh for a long time too.
This recipe can be found on page 105 of Baking with Dorie, by Dorie Greenspan.
